Pioneering the Path Towards ESG Sustainable Development

As global attention on environmental protection and sustainable development continues to rise, adopting more environmentally conscious practices in the production process has become an essential part of business operations. As a leading container manufacturer, Ding Yi understands its role and responsibility in promoting environmental protection and social responsibility. The company is committed to providing high-quality products while actively implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles in material selection and the production process, striving to lead the way in sustainable development.

Green Material Innovation: Application of PCR and Sustainable Materials

In material selection, Ding Yi actively introduces Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) technology and focuses on using ABS and PP materials. These materials not only meet product performance requirements but also help reduce environmental impact. ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) and PP (Polypropylene) are both common plastic materials, each with its own advantages.

ABS

It has excellent toughness and impact resistance, making it suitable for products that require high strength.

PP

It is lightweight and has strong chemical resistance, making it suitable for a variety of applications.

With the increasing strictness of environmental regulations, especially in the European Union, there are higher requirements for material selection. According to the latest regulations from the EU in 2025, ABS materials will no longer be used, and only PP materials will be permitted. This policy change has prompted Ding Yi to proactively adjust its strategy, focusing on the research and development of PP materials to ensure product compliance and market competitiveness.

The EU Policy on the Promotion and Impact of Recycled Materials

The European Union has long played a global leadership role in environmental protection and sustainable development. The policy to be implemented in 2025 requires businesses to gradually phase out ABS materials in product manufacturing. This initiative aims to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste and promote the use of more sustainable materials. For us, this is both a challenge and an opportunity.   Challenge: The need to complete the material transition within a short period of time and ensure products comply with the new regulations.  Opportunity: By proactively implementing the use of PP materials, we can strengthen our leading position in the market.

Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) Materials: A Key Driver of the Circular Economy

With the increasing global consumption of resources and the growing severity of environmental issues, how to effectively utilize resources and reduce waste has become a focal point for governments and businesses worldwide. In this context, Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) materials have emerged as a significant force in driving the circular economy.

 The concept of PCR

Post-consumer recycling (PCR) refers to the process of recycling materials from products discarded by consumers. These materials usually come from plastic bottles, packaging materials, electronic products, etc., and are eventually converted into reusable raw materials after cleaning, sorting, crushing and reprocessing.

Advantages of PCR

Environmental protection: The use of PCR materials can effectively reduce waste entering landfills and lessen the burden on the environment. Furthermore, the energy required during the recycling process is usually lower than the energy required to produce new materials, thus reducing carbon emissions.
Resource Savings: Through recycling and reuse, PCR materials reduce dependence on virgin resources, helping to alleviate resource shortages.
